Henwood Court-sponsored Keyworth United Girls Football Team have just completed their fifth season in the Nottingham Ladies & Girls League, competing against teams from Mansfield, Chesterfield, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.
Although they did not win any trophies during the season, the 15 girl squad finished in the top half of their division, which includes several professional club academy sides. The Keyworth girls all competed to the very best of their best ability, even when the results did not go their way.
Their best matches were won by playing some great flowing football and all the girls enjoyed the experience offered by every game and left the field with 'smiley' faces!
Full kit was provided through sponsorship by Henwood Court and as a result the team are very well turned out: warming up in grey hoodies before the game, and proudly wearing their Henwood Court kit on the pitch.
Team Manager Lisa Costall, commented: "The girls are a credit to Keyworth United both on and off the pitch and are a team who create great entertainment for all. I am very proud to be their Manager."
The team have just entered the U15 league and are eagerly awaiting the fixture list for the forthcoming season.
Henwood Court Managing Director Nick Platt says: "We're delighted to sponsor the girls of Keyworth United. It's great to see young people involved in sport at every level, and we're glad to play a part in helping these girls achieve their potential."
