Nick Platt proudly presented a cheque for £250 last week to Macmillan Cancer Support from funds raised during 2010. Henwood Court Financial Planning’s Director Nick Platt, handed over the money that was raised from client referrals made to the company during the year.

Nick is the son of the late Birchfield Harrier sprint coach Steve Platt who sadly passed away 3 years ago after a brave battle against cancer.

Steve Dourass, Area Fundraising Manager for Macmillan in Birmingham and the Black Country added “ to have the support of companies like Henwood Court really help us make a difference. Macmillan work closely with many corporate partners and their influence in the business communities really help us.

Nick and his family are great supporters of Macmillan and have been involved with the Birmingham Mail Fun Run over recent years too. With 1 in 3 of us receiving a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime , the awareness generated by this association for the many support services that Macmillan provide is vital in improving lives. I want to say a massive thank you to Nick and Henwood Court for their support”
